Credits when a render fails

When a render fails, Reviral returns the credits it charged to your balance automatically; you do not have to ask. The project page tells you why it failed, and Billing → Credit history shows the returned credits as "Render refund".

The problem

AI renders can fail for reasons you cannot see: a safety check stops a scene, a model is briefly down, or the servers are busy. Paying for a video you never received would be unfair, and asking you to email for every failure would be slow.

How Reviral handles it

press Render ─► credits charged ("Render") ─► render runs
                                                │
├─ ready ─► you download it, credits stay spent
                                                │
└─ failed ─► credits returned ("Render refund")
+ a message that says why and what to do
  • Automatic and capped. The refund returns what the render charged, never more.
  • Shown in the message. Once the refund is done, the failure message ends with "Your credits are returned."
  • Stuck renders are covered too. A render that stays paused for more than 24 hours is turned into a failure, and its credits are returned.
  • Pictures that never start cost nothing. In Image Ads, an image that could not start says "You were not charged."

You cannot stop a render once it has started, so check the price on the button and your settings before you press it.

What the failure messages mean

Message on the project page (verbatim)What to do next
"This video was stopped by an automatic safety check that is sometimes wrong. Your credits are back. Try the same render once more — it often goes through the second time."Press Retry render once.
"The safety check stopped this video because of the wording of the prompt, not your picture. Your credits are back. Change the scene description and render again — the same words will be stopped again."Reword the prompt, then render again.
"The provider rejected the scene description. Change the wording — the same words will be stopped again. Your credits are returned."Reword the scene description.
"A safety check blocked this video. Try adjusting the reference or prompt, then render again. Your credits are returned."Change the reference picture or the prompt.
"A reference file was rejected by a copyright check. Retrying will not help — replace that reference, then render again. Your credits are returned."Replace that reference file.
"The safety check rejected your real-person photo. The same photo will most likely be rejected again — use a drawn, anime or 3D character picture instead, or a different photo. Your credits are returned."Use a drawn, anime or 3D character, or another photo.
"This model is temporarily unavailable — pick another model and try again. Your credits are returned."Pick another model.
"Render capacity is temporarily limited — try again in a few minutes. Your credits are returned."Wait the time shown, then try again.
"Servers are busy right now — try again in a few minutes. Your credits are returned."Wait a few minutes, then try again.
"Something went wrong on our side. Your credits are returned."Try again. If it repeats, contact our support team.

The full list, with every message, is in Every render error message.

If the message does not mention your credits

A few messages, such as "Something went wrong on the render side. Try again — if it repeats, contact support.", do not say whether credits came back. Open Billing → Credit history and look for a "Render refund" row for that video. If there is none, message our support team from Support with the project link.

Trade-offs

  • Failed renders are free; finished ones are final. Credits for a video that finished are not refundable, even if you don't like the result. That is why every studio shows the price first and the UGC writer is free, so you can plan before you pay.
  • Retrying the same input can fail the same way. Messages say when a retry will not help ("the same words will be stopped again"), so you change the input instead of spending another try.

Money back on a purchase

Credit refunds for failed renders are automatic. Money back on a purchase follows the refund policy: a 30-day money-back window on your first purchase, if you have used less than 10% of the credits in it; renewals are not included. To ask, email support@reviral.ai from the address on your account and say what happened. Our support team will reply as soon as possible.

What if a render stays stuck for a long time?
