TikTok video size: make it vertical 9:16, usually 1080 x 1920 pixels. TikTok's ad specs ask for at least 540 x 960 pixels, up to 500 MB and up to 10 minutes. Videos you upload in the app can run up to 60 minutes. The table lists every limit with TikTok's own source.

What size should a TikTok video be?
Make it tall: 9:16, the shape of a phone held upright. At full HD that is 1080 pixels wide and 1920 pixels tall. A smaller file at the same shape, like 720 x 1280, also fills the screen but looks less sharp.
Wide 16:9 and square 1:1 videos are accepted too, but they leave empty space on a phone. Not sure what shape your file is? Use the aspect ratio calculator.
Where does TikTok cover the video?
The app puts a bar at the top, the name and caption at the bottom and a button column on the right. Keep words and faces clear of them: the TikTok safe zone page draws the exact margins.

What is the best size for a TikTok video?
Vertical 9:16. 1080 x 1920 pixels is the usual full-HD size for that shape and fills a phone screen. TikTok's ad specs recommend 9:16 and ask for at least 540 x 960 pixels.
How long can a TikTok video be?
TikTok's help center says videos you record in the app can be up to 10 minutes, and videos you upload can be up to 60 minutes. TikTok ads can run up to 10 minutes.
What is the maximum TikTok file size?
TikTok ad videos can be up to 500 MB. Apps that post to TikTok for you can send files up to 4 GB. Keep files small by exporting H.264 MP4.
Can I post a 16:9 video on TikTok?
Yes. TikTok accepts 16:9 and 1:1 as well as 9:16, but a wide video shows with empty space above and below it. Use the aspect ratio calculator to see how your size fits 9:16.
