How to Write a Script for a Commercial
Open with a hook line, show one proof moment and close with one call to action, timed to the length you are buying. A 15-second spot is three or four short spoken lines, each paired with what the viewer sees.

A 15-second commercial script, beat by beat
Beat 1, the hook: one line that stops the scroll, said while the product or the problem is on screen. Beat 2, the proof: the product doing the thing, shown up close, with a line about the result. Beat 3, the reason to believe: a detail such as a texture, a sound or a before-and-after. Beat 4, the call to action: what to do next and why now.
Write two columns for each beat: what we see and what we hear. If a line cannot be said in one breath, cut it in half.
Let the storyboard write the first draft
In the UGC studio, add a product photo and press Write my ad — free. It writes a storyboard where each beat has an action and a spoken line, and you can rewrite any line or ask for a fresh version before paying anything.
Pick a hook such as Interview or Random Object Mic and a format such as Problem → Solution or Testimonial, and the storyboard follows that structure.

Frequently asked questions
How do I write a UGC script?+
Write it the way a customer would talk to a friend: first person, one honest result, one small flaw or doubt, and a casual close. The UGC studio's free storyboard drafts this from your product photo, and every spoken line stays editable.
How do I write Flux prompts?+
Flux 2.0 is a picture model on Reviral, so a Flux prompt describes one frame: the subject, what it is made of, the setting, the light and the camera angle, in that order. Keep words that only make sense over time, such as movement or dialogue, for a video prompt.
How do I write Sora 2 prompts?+
OpenAI closed the Sora app on 26 April 2026 and the Sora 2 API on 24 September 2026, but the same prompt shape works on the video models in the Cinema studio: subject, action, setting, camera move, light and sound, plus the length. Paste your old Sora prompt and run it on Veo 3.1 or Seedance 2.5.
How long should a commercial script be?+
Match it to the spot: a 15-second script has room for three or four short lines. The UGC studio renders 15-second clips, so its storyboard is written to that length.
