Etsy's seller handbook works it through: a shop making $1,000 a year with 10% of sales from Offsite Ads pays about $15 a year at the 15% rate, and a shop making $10,000 a year pays about $120 at the 12% rate.

Spend less per click
Etsy's performance help page says listing quality, such as photos, titles and tags, affects cost per click, and low-quality listings may pay more. A cleaner product picture is the cheapest fix: Image Ads makes one from your photo for 3 credits (~$0.04).
