# First AI ad video, step by step

In this tutorial you make a 15-second UGC ad (a phone-style video where a person talks about your product) from one product photo, then download it. Setting it up takes a few minutes, and the render usually takes 5-10 minutes depending on the queue.

## What you'll need

- An email address or a Google account.
- One clear photo of your product, or a link to its product page (Shopify, Amazon and similar).
- Credits (the balance each video or picture spends). New accounts may start with a welcome credit balance; check your balance after sign-up. If it is too low, see [Buy credits](https://reviral.ai/docs/credits/pay-and-top-up).

## Steps

1. **Create your account.** Go to [reviral.ai/login](https://reviral.ai/login) and pick the **Create account** tab. Type your **Email** and a **Password** of at least 8 characters, then press **Create account**. You will see "Confirmation email sent": open the email, confirm, come back and sign in. You can also press **Continue with Google** instead.
2. **Check your credits.** In the left sidebar, under your email, you see your credit balance and a **Top up** link. Top up opens Billing, where you can buy a pack.
3. **Open UGC Ads.** In the sidebar, open **UGC Studio** and choose **UGC Ads** (page: /app/ugc-creator/scene-ad). You see the heading "Turn any product into a scene ad".
4. **Add your product.** Press **Add product photo** ("Paste a link or upload"). Paste a product link and press **Use this image** on the picture you want, or upload a photo. The first photo is your main product; you can add up to 4 extra angles (back, side, label) so the product stays the same in every scene.
5. **Pick your creator.** Press **Choose your creator**. Pick a face under **Reviral presets**, or press **Upload your photo** and then **Save as my avatar (free)**.
6. **Choose the shape.** Under **Length**, keep **15s** (30s, 45s and 60s show "Coming soon"). Under **Resolution**, pick one of the qualities listed after "Available now". Under **Aspect**, pick **9:16** for TikTok and Reels or **16:9** for YouTube. Leave **Format**, **Hook** and **Setting** on Auto to let Reviral choose.
7. **Write the ad for free.** Type a rough idea in **Your ad idea (optional)**, or leave it empty, and press **✨ Write my ad — free**. A card appears for the clip, with **What you see** (what happens on screen) and **What they say** (the exact spoken words). Edit either box; what you type is what renders.
8. **Render.** Press **Render · N cr**: the number is the credit price for your account, shown before you pay. Reviral opens your project page and shows the progress. It usually takes 5-10 minutes, and you can leave the page while it renders.
9. **Download.** When the video is ready, press **Download** on the project page. You also find it later in **Projects**.

## If something goes wrong

- **The Render button is greyed out.** The line under it says what is missing, for example "Add a product photo to enable Render." or "Tap ✨ Write my ad first — you review every clip before paying."
- **"Not enough credits — this render needs N, you have M."** Press **Top up**, buy credits, and press Render again.
- **"Price unavailable, try again in a moment"**: the price could not be read just now. Wait a moment and reload the page.
- **The render failed.** The project page shows why. Most failure messages end with "Your credits are returned." See [Credits when a render fails](https://reviral.ai/docs/credits/refunds).

### Do I need my own product photo?

Yes, a UGC ad needs a product photo. Paste a product link or upload a photo, and add up to 4 extra angles so the product looks the same in every scene.

### Does writing the ad cost credits?

No. The ✨ Write my ad button is free; you only spend credits when you press Render, and the price shows on that button first.

### Why does my video have a REVIRAL.AI logo?

Accounts that have never paid get the REVIRAL.AI logo on their videos and pictures. Buying any pack or plan removes it, including from files you already made.

### Can I make a 30- or 60-second UGC ad?

Not yet. UGC Ads makes 15-second videos today; the 30s, 45s and 60s options show as Coming soon.
